The two main cycling clubs in the New Forest are the 'New Forest Mountain Bike Club' and the 'New Forest Cycling Club'. Both of these clubs hold weekly rides and more information can be found on their websites. Please see our links page.
For those wanting to enjoy some proper mountain biking then Moors Valley Country Park near Ringwood now has a 7km long mountain bike loop that is well worth a visit. Not least because the tea and cake are exceptional! The route is flat and non technical, pricipally composed of flowing singletrack. Suitable for most cyclists, though more fun when tackled at speed.
Another option if you want a harder time, with more technical riding is Queen Elizabeth Country Park, near Petersfield. This is just over an hour from the New Forest. The cross country trails are steep, and the technical sections suitable only for more experienced cyclists. The forest also has great access onto the South Downs Way. Oh! and the tea and cake are exceptional!!
